No need to worry about rainy weather, if you are tenting or have a camper. Don’t have to load & clean your camper, you don’t have high fuel costs to haul your camper or tent, Everything is ready to go when you arrive! You bring your own bedding & towels, and clean upon departure.

What to know about our cottages:

Cottages are a Glamping / Camping Version of our Facilities.

We have 1 and 2 room cottages

There are NO Bathrooms in the cottages

NO running water/sewer inside the cottages.

You will need to bring your own: bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows), linens and towels.

You are required to clean your COTTAGE prior to departure.

Are there nereby amenities?

You have FULL SERVICE BATH FACILITIES just steps away from your COTTAGE Door.

The Cottage Bath House & Main Bathroom have a full size shower, flush toilets & Sink.

The Cottage Bath house area also has a kitchen sink where you can do your dishes.

The Cottage Bath house facility is only for the guests of the COUGAR DEN, ELK RETREAT & SUGAR SHACK.

Running water / bathrooms are LOCATED NEAR the cottages.

Cottages are available from Early May to End of October and are closed during the Winter Months.

They have baseboard heaters, but are not heated year Round.

Cottage Features

Cottages are equipped with Fridge, cook top/convec oven or full stove, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and has pots and pans, oven pan dishes, drinking glasses, coffee cups, cutlery, steak knives, cutting knives, serving dishes, serving & cutting utensils, salad bowls, strainer/colander, cutting board, cheese grater, wine opener, potato peeler, can opener, measuring cup & spoons, scissors, garbage bin, garbage bags, dish soap, dish scrubber, tooth pics, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, creamer & sugar, hand soap, all purpose cleaner, cleaning rag, broom, dust pan, mop and pail, Crib board & playing cards, Fire pit chopping block, wiener sticks.

Cottages have a Double or queen bed and 3 units have additional beds - Cottages have sleep 2, sleep 4 or sleep 6 options . Fridge, cook top, toaster, coffee maker, Microwave. It’s Like Camping without having to bring all your gear, NO need to pack the cook stove, dish pans, cookware, dishes, cups, cutlery, weiner sticks, outdoor chairs are all supplied & ready for your use. GLAMPING is the Easiest way to go camping!…..no soaked Tent & gear, or camper to clean when you get home! The ideal way to GET AWAY & GLAMP - have all the gear & supplies here when you arrive!!

YOU will need to bring your own bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows), bath towels, face cloths for bathing, You are required to clean your COTTAGE prior to departure, or you can also pay clean fee on departure.

Basic food, bedding/towels and clothing are the main items you will need to bring for yourself. However, We also suggest you bring the following: Flashlight, raingear, lighter for fire pit, insect repellant, sunscreen, disposable foil pans, paper towel, facial tissue, aluminum foil, saran wrap, propane tank for BBQ, or you can purchase propane w/ tank to use at cottage BBQ.

Booking Policy

​In order to secure a booking, you need to book ONLINE or Phone the Call Center during operating hours.
We will bill your credit card in full on the date you complete your booking.

Call Center Operating Hours:

Open Season: May 1st - October 20th
Monday - Saturday: 10 am - 8 pm
Sunday: 11 am - 4 pm

All Calls are returned in the order they are received, if you do not leave a voicemail message including your phone number, we will not be able to return your call. Please DO NOT call multiple times, our call staff have a variety of responsibilities (this is not a 24 hour service).

Off Season: October 21st - April 30th
Off Season Call Center Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Closed Sundays

Phone calls are checked every 2-3 hours. You must leave a voicemail message which includes your contact telephone number, and we will return your call.

Cottage Rates Overview

ALL COTTAGE RATES PROVIDED ARE BASED ON MAXIMUM PERSONS.

TOTAL BED OCCUPANCY (these prices are not double occupancy rates) You are not permitted to Exceed the Maximum persons allowed. You Must leave your Cottage Clean upon departure. You have the option to purchase departure Cleaning services. See rates for clean upon departure option.

Additional Fees & surcharges

• Applicable Taxes = 5% GST & 4% Tourism Levy
• Tents are NOT allowed in Cabin/Cottage yards. 
• Pets are an additional $25.00/night each for their stay plus taxes. If excessive pet hair is left throughout the Cabin i.e. Bed, sheets, bed skirt, Blankets, quilt or comforter, towels, furniture, floor matts, etc…additional cleaning charges will be applied at a rate of $45/hour. Additional cleaning charges will be deducted from your security deposit.
• Minimum 3 night stay on long weekends, minimum 2 nights on regular weekends/weekdays -Extra Persons (adults & children) $25/each per night - Infants (under age 2) are N/C
• EXTRA vehicles & trailers $5/night each
• Smoking is NOT PERMITTED inside Cottages. A $200 cleaning fee / fine charged for smoking in buildings.

Please Remember:

You are not permitted to exceed the MAXIMUM persons / Cottage due to fire regulation, liability and insurance guidelines. DOING so WILL result in immediate eviction, there are no refunds for falsely reporting # guests.

Cancellation Policy Cottages / Cabins

From Date of Booking up to 7 days before arrival date you will be charged a $25/night cancel/change fee for any date changes or cancellation. If you provide less than 7 days notice of cancellation, you are charged the full amount of your stay. NO EXCEPTIONS - NO REFUNDS

COTTAGE CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES

Check-in is 4:00 pm -12:00am.

Check-Out time is 11:00 am.

NO CONTACT CHECK-IN CENTRE

We have a No-Contact Check-In Centre. The No-Contact Check-In Centre is where your Check-In documentation is located upon arrival. This information has your assigned site information/location and keys for accommodations, bathroom entrance door codes, Wi-Fi passwords, Visitor Registration forms.

Self Help Payment Envelopes for Firewood or Ice are located at the No-Contact Check-In Centre. If you get our voicemail when you call our office, you need to LEAVE a message, including your name & phone number, your call be returned in order they are received. If you do not leave a message, we will assume you do not require any assistance. You can also leave a note in our mail slot for non urgent matters.

Reporting Issues/Requesting Assistance

Water line leaks or problems, bathroom issues needing immediate attention Contact (call or Text) 780-740-3953 or 780-223-2442
If you have an emergency / disturbance or problem during your stay contact 911 or Hinton RCMP 780-865-2455.
After hours SECURITY CALL OUT FEES will be charged to guests who violate regulations or cause disturbances.
If you run out of propane on BBQ or trip a breaker after 10 pm at night, do not request a CALL OUT. After hour call out fees can range from $150.00 - $250.00

Additional Services & Facilities

SELF HELP SYSTEM at NO CONTACT CHECK IN CENTER. Read instructions for each service, usage or supplies.

• FIREWOOD

  Cut, Split & dried firewood is available for $20/load - payment envelopes are located at the No-Contact Check In Centre. Complete the payment envelope (IN FULL) and place into the Drop SLOT at check in COUNTER, before you take your compartment of wood.
  



• ICE

  Bagged Ice is available at the NO CONTACT Check In Center, payment envelopes are on the wall & Must be Completed in full, with your payment before you take ICE from our Freezers.
  



• Quad / Dog wash area

  Located by Playground Area. Click to view the Site Map. Great for giving your quad or Pet, a little clean up before you load your Quad, ATV, UTV, side by side. Mud & rain can be hazardous on pets, this extra spray hose is great for cleaning up the pets mud etc…
  



• COOKHOUSE

  Approx. 20 ft x 24 ft shelter 3 sided 1/2 wall (1/2 log bar edge), log structure, with power, lights, USB plug ins, fridge, stainless countertop work area & roughly 3ft high wood burning unit with grill top. Large fire pit beside Cook House (due to mountain pine beetle devastation, you are not permitted to bring any outside firewood to the campground) with benches, & potable water supply beside the building. See event booking information for rates. Rate $100/day plus 5% GST - $100 Refundable Security Deposit when returned clean & no damages.

  Location Details

  WIFI
  Our Wifi connection is rural. There are not high speed services here, no streaming or uploading or downloading large files. Wifi Passwords are provided on your confirmation & check in paperwork.
  
  Cell Service
  

  is also rural, inclement weather will affect the quality of your service. The front & back campground area has the best service. The middle camp area - check in center (low spot) has poorer service for cell phones.

  
  Garbage & Recycle
  

  See our Site Map for Garbage & Recycle Locations - Garbage Bins are the large Green Bins & Recycling are the Barrels located beside large square bins. Recycle barrels are for plastic water bottle/jugs , cans, glass bottles, milk or juice containers, beer & pop cans, liquor bottles.

  
  Bathroom & Laundry Facilities
  

  Our Laundry Facilities are located in the Men’s & ladies washroom and are open 24 hours a day, your check in paperwork / arrival documents will have the access door code for bathrooms. Children must be supervised in the washroom facility.
